CABES e-learning portal

From the WABES project a strong need emerged for establishing learning opportunities for professionals to learn and keep their skills up to date. To address this gap, the team of CoKnow Consulting has established the CABES e-learning portal: a global, open access online portal  providing scheduled, interactive courses and self-learning resources for biodiversity professionals. With the portal we build the capacities of decision makers, scientists, practitioners, and other target groups in supporting the implementation of political decisions on nature-based solutions, ecosystem-based adaptation approaches and sustainable use of natural resources.

By 2025 we aim to deliver 11 free courses in two languages (French and English) available in a scheduled format (live courses) and a self-paced format for our stakeholders to participate at their own convenience. Course topics are related to biodiversity conservation, use of IPBES assessments, facilitating Science-Policy-Practice Interfaces, resources mobilization and many more. A train-the-trainer component is designed to ensure the long run sustainability of the programme.
